## Current Career Opportunity: Electrical Technician
PTC is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to fill the Electrical Technician position. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the seamless functionality, safety, and reliability of electrical systems within designated refinery areas.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician, your day-to-day duties will require precision, technical acumen, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Executing comprehensive commissioning, start-up procedures, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance for various electrical equipment and systems within refinery environments.
* Inspecting the operational condition and performance of essential electrical assets, including electric motors, electrical panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), switchgear, transformers, cabling systems, lighting installations, and grounding networks.
* Performing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities in strict alignment with issued work orders, scheduled maintenance plans, and standardized work instructions.
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical anomalies swiftly, accurately, and safely.
* Identifying operational abnormalities during routine inspections and formulating actionable recommendations for supervisors and engineers.
* Interpreting and utilizing technical documents, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and detailed electrical schematics.
* Complying rigorously with standard operating procedures (SOP), Permit to Work systems, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), and all Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) regulations.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation regarding completed tasks, equipment status, and diagnostic findings.
Candidate Qualifications
To qualify for this technical role, applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:
* Nationality: Indonesian Citizen (WNI).
* Education: Minimum high school diploma or vocational school (SMA/SMK) background.
* Experience: At least 3 years of proven professional experience in electrical equipment maintenance.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in coupling and uncoupling electric motor gearboxes.
* Expert knowledge in utilizing specialized electrical measurement tools.
* Proven capability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems rapidly and safely.
* Strong ability to read, interpret, and explain Single Line Diagrams and electrical drawings.
* Comprehensive mastery of foundational electrical equipment.
* Location: Must be domiciled in Balikpapan and surrounding areas.
